The short answer
CompanyCam pricing starts at $63 a month for one user on the Core plan, billed annually, and runs to $199 a month on Scale before you add a single extra seat. For a crew that only needs job photos, that can work. For a sales team, you are paying for proof of the work while the thing that decides your revenue, what gets said at the kitchen table, stays invisible.
If you run a roofing, HVAC, solar or remodeling company, you have probably heard of CompanyCam at a trade show or from another contractor. It is a well-known photo documentation tool. The real question is whether it is worth what you pay, and whether it is even the right tool for the problem you are trying to fix.
Below is the full CompanyCam pricing breakdown for 2026, what each plan leaves out, what a real team ends up paying, and why more sales teams are looking at CompanyCam alternatives like AdaptClose.
CompanyCam pricing plans in 2026
CompanyCam sells four plans. Three have a published price and Enterprise is quote only. The prices below are billed annually, taken from the CompanyCam pricing page as of September 2026.
| Plan | Price per month (billed annually) | Users included | Extra users | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $63 | 1 | $29 each | Solo contractors and small teams |
| Crew | $129 | 3 | $29 each | Growing teams |
| Scale | $199 | 3 | $29 each | Multi-crew operations |
| Enterprise | Quote only | 50+ | Quote only | Multi-location companies |
Monthly billing costs more. CompanyCam advertises a 20% discount for annual billing, and third-party reviews put monthly billing at $79 for Core, $149 for Crew and $249 for Scale, with extra seats at $34. Annual billing also auto-renews, so put the renewal date on your calendar before you sign.
There is no free plan and no free version. You get a free trial (most reviews list it as a 14-day free trial), and after that you pay.
One more heads-up: a lot of review sites still quote an old per-user price or a 3-user minimum on every plan. CompanyCam moved to bundled plans, so the 3-user minimum now applies to Crew and Scale only. If a number you found online looks off, check the pricing page.
What CompanyCam actually costs a real team
The starting price is not what most teams pay. Three things push the bill up.
Seats add up fast. CompanyCam says anyone who takes photos, manages projects or looks at job files needs a seat. That means office staff, project managers and estimators, not just the guys in the field. One roofing owner who came to us from CompanyCam had his whole team sharing a single login just to keep the bill down. Here is what the two team plans cost once you add people, with annual billing:
| Team size | Crew plan | Scale plan |
|---|---|---|
| 3 users | $129/mo | $199/mo |
| 5 users | $187/mo | $257/mo |
| 10 users | $332/mo | $402/mo |
| 20 users | $622/mo | $692/mo |
On monthly billing, every one of those numbers goes up.
The useful features sit in higher tiers. The Core plan covers photos, project history, reports, invoicing, a price book and on-site payments. Checklists, task assignment and the live job map start at Crew. LiDAR room measuring, e-signatures and unlimited templates are Scale only. AI features are included on Crew, Scale and Enterprise, and even then Crew is capped at 100 AI credits.
Add-ons cost extra. The Marketing Suite add-on (social posts, Google review requests and Google Business Profile sync) is sold on top of every plan and is listed at $79 to $99 a month. Single sign-on and the corporate portal are contact-sales items. Payment processing is offered for US companies, but the rate is not published on the pricing page, so ask before you turn it on.
Add it up and a 10-person team on Scale with the Marketing Suite add-on is looking at roughly $480 to $500 a month on annual billing, for a tool that documents the job after it is sold.
Where CompanyCam falls short
CompanyCam is built to prove the work got done. It is not built to help your team sell more of it.
That gap matters, because most home services companies do not lose money on the install. They lose it in the living room. A rep runs a lead you already paid for, the homeowner says “let me think about it,” and nobody back at the office knows what was actually said.
CompanyCam can show you photos from that appointment. It cannot tell you:
- Whether the rep built value before showing the price
- How the rep handled “we’re getting a couple more quotes”
- Whether the rep asked for the sale at all
- Which reps need coaching this week, and on what

Photo documentation, annotations, tags and labels, a project feed and invoicing are all useful. But if your problem is close rate, you are paying $129 to $199 a month plus seats for a tool that never touches it.
Small teams are paying for features they never touch. The feedback we hear from smaller teams coming over from CompanyCam is the same every time: it is expensive, and they are not using half of what they pay for. Most of them use photos, checklists and reports. That is it. But checklists do not start until the Crew plan, so a small team has to buy a three-seat plan and a pile of extras just to get the one feature they wanted.
So plenty of sales teams end up paying for CompanyCam and a separate call recording tool to cover the same appointment. That is two apps on every rep’s phone, two logins and two bills, and reps who forget to open one of them.
AdaptClose: the photos and the pitch in one app
AdaptClose is a sales coaching app built for home services teams. Reps record the appointment and take job photos in the same app, so managers see what happened in the home, not just what the roof looked like.

Here is what your team gets:
- Every appointment recorded and graded against your own playbook, using a scorecard you build.
- Photos with notes. Reps say or type what each photo shows, and it lands in the manager’s gallery.
- Live listen. Managers hear the appointment about 10 seconds behind, watch photos come in as the rep takes them, and see rep locations on a map.
- Spoken debrief. Record the appointment, drive home, see the grade.
- Coachables. Two short spoken briefs every week, one for the manager’s Monday meeting and one for each rep.
- Visit checklists and a homeowner visit report the rep can share securely after the appointment.
- Door-to-door mode for canvassing teams, with every door pinned on a map and scored.

Multiple CompanyCam customers have already come to AdaptClose. They are moving their photos, checklists and reports into AdaptClose, so their reps and crews run the whole appointment from one app. When a team switches, we move their CompanyCam checklists over for them, then they run a pilot side by side before they cut over. No starting from scratch, no gap in documentation.
Pricing is simple: $180 per user per month on a monthly plan. No seat minimum, no setup fee, no annual contract, and about 15 minutes to your first graded visit. Compare that to CompanyCam, where the advertised prices assume annual billing that auto-renews, and going month to month costs you about 25% more. With AdaptClose, the monthly plan is the plan. If a slow season hits, you can scale seats down without being locked into a year.
For a small team, that means you pay for the features you actually use, not a tier built for a company three times your size. No three-seat plan to unlock checklists, no add-ons, no annual contract. And if you are paying for CompanyCam plus a separate call recording tool today, one AdaptClose seat replaces both.
Other CompanyCam alternatives to know
CompanyCam integrates with Jobber, JobNimbus and AccuLynx, which tells you something: a lot of contractors already pay for a system that stores job photos, then pay for CompanyCam on top. Before you add another bill, look at what you already have.
| Tool | What it is for | Job photos | Records in-home sales appointments |
|---|---|---|---|
| AdaptClose | Sales coaching for home services teams | Yes, with notes | Yes, graded against your playbook |
| Jobber | Scheduling, quotes and invoicing | Photo attachments | No |
| JobNimbus | Contractor CRM and project management | Yes | No |
| AccuLynx | Roofing business management | Yes | No |
If you just need photos, your CRM may already cover it. If you need to know why deals are slipping, AdaptClose is the only one on this list built for that.
So, is CompanyCam worth it?
It can be, if you run production-heavy crews that need proof of work for insurance claims, warranty and customer disputes, and your sales side is already dialed in.
It probably is not, if you are paying for it mainly to keep an eye on your reps. Photos show you the job. They do not show you the pitch, and the pitch is where the money is made or lost.
If you want one app that captures the photos and tells you exactly what your reps say in the home, book an AdaptClose demo.
